Surface finish and support structure
Surface processing after 3D printing: Minimize traces of support structures
We would like to give you important information about Use of support structures in 3D printing. If models have to be printed with support structures, removing these structures can leave marks on the model. Both imprints from the support structures themselves and visible layers on the lower contour of the model can be seen. These marks cannot be completely neutralized, but can be improved with sanding and painting.
We currently do not offer any Grinding and painting services. Our focus is mainly on removing the support structures and delivering models in a clean and functional condition.
When removing the support structures we try to do this as gently as possible to protect the model. However, depending on the complexity of the model and the support materials used, slight traces may remain visible. In order to minimize these marks, we recommend that you sand and varnish the model yourself after printing if necessary. This smoothes and hides bumps and layers on the surface of the model.
we would like to ... you high-quality results offer and are at your disposal to advise you on further surface treatment. If you have any questions about suitable sanding and painting techniques or need more information, we are at your disposal.
